Eirene (Tranquility)

Suggested Applications:

• Mix with a carrier oil and massage into the back of the neck or into the pads of feet. Wear as a scent on the wrists.
• Use in a diffuser or inhale the aroma directly.
• Mix in a glass of tea or cold water.

Essential Oils included in this blend are:

Tangerine (Citrus reticulata)  – Its sedative and bright beautiful scent help with relaxation, anxiety and depression.

• Tangerine has been found to be even more effective when used in a synergistic combination with other citrus oils.

Orange (Citrus sinensis)  – With properties of pinenes and aldehydes, Orange helps soothe your central nervous system while adding positive emotions. Orange oil may be excellent for mood and relaxation as it has a direct effect on the brain’s olfactory system, which can quickly induce an emotional response. As a result, orange essential oil is said to have a soothing and revitalizing effect that could be used as an antidepressant and mild tranquilizer. Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi)  – One of the most important properties of grapefruit is of an anti-depressant. It is a very ‘sunny’ oil, non-sedative and mentally enlivening.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)  – Offers relaxing benefits to calm the mind, improve mood, and provide general feelings of euphoria.

Lemon (Citrus limonum)  – Lemon oil is bright and lifts the spirit giving it effective anti-depressant properties.

Marjoram (Origanum majorana)  – One of the outstanding properties of marjoram is its warming action on both the mind and body. One other among many is its strong sedative property. It as a beautiful aroma and has wonderful effects at the mental and emotional levels and can be very comforting for people who are suffering through grief.
