Amyris Haitian Sandalwood*

Price range: $10.00 through $15.00

Amyris essential oil is often used in place of Sandalwood Essential Oil for a more affordable alternative to Indian or Hawaiian Sandalwoods. Amyris Essential Oil is known as an aphrodisiac and is popular as a warm & woody aroma that complements masculine blends. Amyris Essential Oil is sometimes used as a natural fixative in aromatherapy and perfumery.

Botanical Name

Amyris balsamifera

*Amyris is not a true sandalwood. While it is commonly referred to as West Indian Sandalwood, it is derived from the Amyris balsamifera tree, which is botanically distinct from true sandalwood (Santalum album). Although Amyris oil shares some aromatic similarities with sandalwood, it does not possess the same depth and character. It is often used as a lower cost alternative in perfumery.
